Lesbian Health Care

Yes! Lesbians need Gynecologic Care!

They need Pap Smears!

They need Pelvic and Breast Exams!

They need Mammograms!

All too often Lesbians do not receive regular necessary Gynecologic Care due to fears of disrespectful treatment and a belief that only women who have sex with men require Gynecology.

We are dedicated to treating every person, Gay, Lesbian, Bi, Trans, Queer, Straight, Asexual, with dignity and respect—you deserve it.

From the first call to our office, to your appointment and your evaluation by Dr. Morrison and staff—you will feel comfortable, secure and respected.

Every person with a cervix should have a pap smear beginning at age 21.  A pap smear that is normal only needs to be repeated every 3 years.  Beginning at age 30 a pap smear should also include testing for High Risk HPV.  If this is negative, the pap smear only needs to be repeated every 3-5 years to age 65.

Lesbians are at risk for Cervical Cancer!

Women who have sex with women are still at risk for cancer of the cervix and other reproductive tract cancers (vulvar, vaginal, uterine and ovarian cancers).  It is critically important for your health that you see a Gynecologist and get a pap smear regularly!

Lesbians are at risk for Breast Cancer!

Every person with breasts needs to learn breast self exam, have clinical exams by a provider and should have Mammograms starting either at age 40 or age 50.
