ABOUT YOUR VISIT - Abortion Appointment
Preparation for your appointment
If you have taken a positive pregnancy test and scheduled a confidential abortion appointment. There are a few things that you can do to prepare for your upcoming appointment.
Please be sure that we have the proper and necessary blood work. As a security policy, we do not allow anyone into the building without photo ID. Be sure that anyone coming with you has photo ID with them. Please do not bring any children with you to your appointment. We do not have the facilities to care for any children. Please do not bring any large bags or backpacks into the building. A small purse is okay, but nothing larger than that. Do not bring any weapons or metal objects other than your keys. We have a metal detector for your security.
Please do not use any recreational drugs or alcohol for 24 hours prior to your appointment because it could interfere with some of the medication you are given. You should eat a light meal the day of your appointment - nothing too heavy or greasy though- so it would be best to avoid fast food. You may bring snacks with you.
Additionally there may be some protestors outside, but they are not allowed past the front of the building. Be sure to park in the lot behind out building if you are driving and enter through the back door. The front door is for employees only. Please keep in mind that our appointments take a long time and you should plan on being here for most of the day on the day of your appointment. Your appointment will take a long time so it is best to be prepared.
We look forward to seeing you at your GYN visit. Please arrive on time. Additionally, Dr. Morrison is an Obstetrician and at times she may need to cancel appointment due to another patient. Please be mindful of this and understanding if this does occur.
When arriving for your visit, you may have to fill out additional paperwork. Co-payments will be due at the time of your appointment. Pleas bring your insurance card and photo ID. If you are coming for a consultation or a 2nd opinion, please bring medical records.
